This evening, at the Vespers and fireworks in St. Mary


This evening, at the Vespers and fireworks in St. Mary’s the Docks to celebrate the Assumption of Mary, we sang the pilgrim hymn of Walsingham , our candles aloft. I can never count the number of verses. 42 in the original version maybe? Anyway, the hymn describes the founding of the shrine of Walsingham in response to a vision of Lady Richeldis. All was going well, until……
