Imich researcher in psychology, was the oldest in the world since the death in April of Italian Rob


Alexander Imich, a Polish immigrant considered the world's oldest disk genius man, died Sunday in Manhattan, New York, at the age of 111 years. According to reports from his family, Imich died peacefully at his home in Upper West, New York.
"What an amazing Imich life, led the fight against the Bolsheviks in his teens, earned a doctorate in 1920, survived a Soviet labor camp, lost much of his family in the hands of the Nazis and got successful career as a chemist and parapsychologist, "said Craig Glenday, editor in chief of Guinness World Records.
The death of Imich was announced by one of his granddaughters, Karen Bogen, and one of his friends, Michael Mannion, who had visited him on Saturday night in a nursing home where he lived since 1986, says the New York Times Monday.
Imich researcher in psychology, was the oldest in the world since the death in April of Italian Roberto Licata man, died at 111 years and 357 days, depending on gerontological research group Torrance, California.
