Yesterday was Halloween, also known as Halloween. Last weekend I got to walk the streets of Manhattan, and some people (adults) roamed the streets in costume on their way to a party or other, perhaps prematurely celebrating the light of reports of hurricane hurtling directions. Last year we lived Hameenlinna this time, and did not feel the Hhloain. Perhaps because of that we turned out at the correct times to see adults celebrating, and probably also because of Nelly's not really a neighborhood of young families, so do not see children celebrating.
We did not know what to expect Valoain itself, especially with that last year was not really felt Halloween. Tali has organized some candy just in case. Indeed Sometime later - lunch started knocking on the door, with children great soprendo threaten at trick or treat. After several such groups were here, we decided to take the kids for a ride, and we left a bowl of candy outside with a note of "Help yourself." I understand that according to tradition, children should be with scary costumes. Song was dressed great soprendo up as Cinderella, and Laurie had ears. Good enough. We went out into the field.
The truth was a little strange. Reminded me of these fund-raising from - elementary school, or a bit like begging. Besides you can see by the decorations on the houses who "matter" and where there treats. I think the kids like the idea of collecting candy.
According to urban legends, you can leave the candy out and the kids will take only one or two. In some of the houses we passed them and left candy out really stayed several well for us. But when we got home we left we saw the bowl was empty, great soprendo and I can not believe after all these - so many bunches of kids around. Maybe we should leave keeps threatening.
